Hi, I’m Di, my clients' kids call me "Uncle Di"! I'm a dad, husband-turned-solo-parent, and wedding photographer since 2009. After documenting hundreds of “I do’s,” my couples started calling me back for baby bumps, newborn yawns, and messy cake-smash grins.

Becoming a father rewrote everything I thought I knew about time. One minute I’m rocking a sleepy newborn; the next she’s chasing pigeons in the park—and my camera can barely keep up!

That perspective shaped Roots & Memories—my family-focused work where sessions feel like a playdate, not a photo shoot. I’ll guide you just enough so you can stay present while I capture the hugs, giggles, and tiny details that become lifelong treasures. 

As a dad, I know how to make kids comfortable and parents feel seen. Let’s create images that let you revisit your roots, celebrate today, and pass a legacy of love forward.

• • How far in advance should we book our session?

    • • As long as i'm available you can book tomoorrow

  • How long does a session usually last?

    • • Newborn (Up to 2 Hours), Maternity (1-1.5 Hours), Cake Smash (1 Hour), Minis (20 Minutes)

  • Where do sessions take place — do you come to us or choose the location?

    • • My Studio (Located in Great Neck) is designed with love, I have my own studio space that caters to your family's every photo needs

  • Do you offer in-home sessions, or only outdoor shoots?

    • • With a small traveling fee of $50, in-home and outdoor sessions are not a problem.

  • What happens if it rains or someone gets sick? Can we reschedule?

    • • Absolutely

  • What should we wear for the session? Do you help with outfit coordination?

    • • As we get close to your session, I will forward you a pinterest board with all of my wardrobe  recommendations

  • Should we bring anything with us (snacks, props, etc.)?

    • • Certainly

  • Can we include grandparents, pets, or extended family?

    • • The session is mainly catered to the immediate family (parents, kids, and pets). You are more than welcome to add more people such as grandparents at an additional cost of $50 per person.

  • How many photos will we receive and when?

    • • Ranges from 100 to 300 photo. Only the best ones get delivered.

  • Do you offer prints or just digital images?

    • • Yes you may order prints directly from the online gallery

  • Can we purchase additional images or albums later?

    • • Absolutely

  • Will you edit all the images? What kind of editing is included?

    • • Studio color gradding is included

  • Will I get to choose the images, or do you select them?

    • • You'll receive a gallery of 60–70 images (sometimes more!) to preview. From there, you can select your favorites for download or for inclusion in your album.

I’m an aspiring plant parent—so far, no casualties!

Camping is one of my favorite ways to unwind, especially with my rooftop tent mounted on a Mini Countryman (yes, it fits!).

Right now, I’m learning to play the ukulele. I love its simplicity, portability, and the joy it brings in any setting.
